gawguy
When I print labels, the font is changing to a larger one than is shown on the screen, the spacing is changing, and they are not right, not close to right. I have done this before and don't recall this problem. I am printing a full page of Avery Laser Labels Help!! Gawguy
gummigut
Already sent you a PM. Most likely it's the font substitution table on your printer. You'd want to download the soft fonts. Could be the document is corrupt (though not likely). Cheers, <<burp>>

gawguy
Well I tried the suggestions in the PM you sent me and I PM'd you back. Just thought I'd post here too, so those who read it will know how knowledgeable you are. You don't miss a beat man! Your original PM: My guess off the top of my head is it's the font substitution table. But let that wait for a moment. First you need to determine its not the document itself. Start a new document and type in some text. Then format the text the same font type and size as those in your labels. Is this printing ok? If it is, then your label document is screwed up in some way. If this is not printing okay, then it's a setting between your computer and your printer. Thus it's probably the font substitution table. Especially if it's a postscript printer. Need to go into the printer settings choose download fonts instead of substituting fonts. If you give me the printer name and if you are using a postscript driver, that might help a bit. Printing could also be on draft (though I don't think so). Hope this helps! <<burp>> ***** My response: Well, my boy, you are a ripper!! Jolly good job, what! I did a new document, set the font, typed in the text I want on my labels and all was well. However, here's something I noticed that will probably tell you exactly what the problem was. My computer is set up with Thai as the default language and a Thai font "Angsana New" and an English font "Cordia New 20" as default fonts. I tried just copying and pasting the text of the label from another document where it appeared in "Times New Roman 12." The first two lines were correct, but the third and last line appeared as the default Cordia New 20 on the screen. When I had the problem, even when I went to the tools menu, then envelopes and labels, the preview of the label was in Times New Roman 12. It then printed in Cordia New 20. (I was printing out all of these tests on plain paper. I didn't commit a single sheet of labels until it was right. I'm not entirely stupid, thank you - laser labels are expensive!)
