Nervous_Dog
We?re leaving the house to go to some market and DarLek stops me as we meet a man walking in. ?This is the Cheese Maker? she tells me in English, then in Thai/Laos/English she tells me he makes cheese for the old ladies. I am amazed, on the last trip I met a man who had a milk run through all the local villages, but this was the first time I had heard of or met someone who makes cheese in Thailand. More to the point, I am amazed as DarLek continues to explain he makes the cheese for the little old ladies, who need the cheese. Well of course they do I think, no idea how to spell Osteoporosis in English let alone in Thai, so I congratulate him. He mumbles something in Laos, and DarLek translates: ?You want to see his cheese?? Well that would be most interesting as I am a cheese lover whose friends have been indoctrinated to bring me cheese from overseas to Thailand when they visit. He smiles, and out pops a pair of false teeth. Teeth / Cheese, sound the same don?t they! Yeah right! DOG
elef
Hi ND, thanks for reminding me of Old Dutch and the cheese in my favourite main courses - read more in the Food forum. Soon will go home and eat my lunch - filet of pork and gorgonzola! elef

Nervous_Dog
The funniest part is, as KS knows I am a BIG cheese lover, so there I was, salivating over what delights he made, to see a pair of false teeth! DOG
