torrenova
My girlfriend is itching for another holiday and I thought it might be nice to perhaps take her to Hong Kong, Singapore or somewhere else outside of Thailand. She's got her ID but no passport. So what I'm asking is what does she need to get a passport and does she have to go back to her home town to sort it out (she is from Phetburi but lives in Pattaya) ? Also, does anyone know how quickly it can be done - is it hours, days or weeks ? Cheers.
CondomKing
A Thai passport is relatively easy to acquire. The passport office is in Bangkok and all she'll need is her ID card and I think a copy of her house paper. There's a fee, something like 1000 B and it takes about 5 days to process and can be picked up at the same office. My wife was just there getting one for her daughter. I will PM you the phone # after I speak with her in the morning.

rickfarang
She probably needs a copy of her house registration papers -not sure about that one. If she is under 20 years old, she will need her parents to sign off on the application.

farangman
Also, if she is under 21 (I think), she will need written consent from her parents. Cheers farangman
