shotover
I'll be leaving the country for about a week and plan to park my car at DM International Terminal. Would appreciate any info on costs and other suggestions. Thanks

Guest
With LT parking at 250-Bt/day, why not leave your car at home (where it might be safer) and take a cab?
samak
beside the high rates, you will also waste your time as both parking areas in Terminal 1 and 2 are pretty crowded and it takes up to 20 minutes to enter and find a free parking space and also leaving the area! Pom Michael
Parking Terminal 1 is THB 250 per 24 hours, and Parking Terminal 2 is only THB 220 per 24 hours. Agree that if you are traveling on Friday/Sat/Sun then much better to take a taxi. Cheers!
shotover
Thanks all for the info and link. With a 5-6 day trip planned, definetly take a taxi. Surprised the rates are this high, but it makes sense if parking spaces are limited.
SingaporeSteve
I always drive and park my car at the airport but as other posters say it can be difficult. The easiest is to park in the above ground multi-storey car park just past terminal two - you may have to go up about 6 floors but you will always get a space (or at least I always did) and then walk through terminal two if you need to get to terminal one. The underground car parks at terminals one and two are hopeless and really really congested. Parking is safe enough - I always left my Grand Cherokee Jeep there with no problems at all. By the way, its not that the car parks are small, but way to many Hi-So TG staff use it as a staff car park which causes all the problems. In my opinion its too cheap - onsite parking should be charged at such a price that those prepared to want onsite parking should pay a premium for it - however in their defence there is no other parking option for off site parking such as is common at almost any other major airport in the world.
