Right by surasak BTS it's said to be one of the best places to eat in town. After taking the GF to cabages and condoms for a bland and tasteless meal thought we would try the BE even though expensive.

The GF had liked cagages and condoms, except for the food and was disappointed that the BE was 'not so pretty'. I was a bit disappointed with it as well-all a bit pokey inside. The service was bizzare, we must have been waited on by just about every waiter. On asking one if the champers was sweet or dry he said 'full bodied'. After deciding to try this strange drink we were told 'finish already no have' I did think the food was very good esp the choice of steamed brown (red) rice. The GF however declared it was crap and that she could cook better at home!!!! Overall at 1300 baht it was a bit pricey, the 40 baht one we had the night before at a market was better food.-peter

i think with 1300 baht you did not get beyond starters and sharing one small beer with your gf

blue elephant is like eating in a expensive country while staying in bangkok!
