Big Kev
Past two summers, I've stayed at Manhattan and at Thai Pan. Considered both hotels acceptable and pretty good bargains on most dimensions (though had to request better room than originally given at both places). However, neither of these places had particularly good swimming pool. Anyone have suggstions for hotel with nicer pool? Bigger, more comfortable chairs for sunning, etc. I'd be happy to pay a little more, but thinking Marriott might be an option, I checked their website to find rates over $100 US. Not willing to go that high!! Thanks for any help, pals. :: :: ::

Prosal
Yep. In Suk area, Tai Pan, as Regency Park, Amari Boulevard or Novotel Lotus swimming pools are quite small and shadey, which is a big turn-off for me also. Imperial Queen's Park pool is better but not that pleasant IMO. The best pool I've found in a Bangkok's middle-priced hotel is out of Suk, in Novotel Siam Square ; large, very confortable, with nice views on SS, and the most important, totally sunny from dawn till dusk. Hope this help.
