Guest
Hey guys, Any of you had problems with snoring? I know that if I drink a bit too much, I start snoring like a freight train. This could be a problem if you're on a LT no? Normally I try to sleep on my side and that usually keeps me from snoring but if I'm a bit smashed, ROOOOOOAR! Any have similar experiences or remedies? boemba
Snoring is now recognized as a health risk. It is associated with sleep apnea, that is episodes of temporarily stopping of breathing, which is not an ideal situation. If you are overweight, losing weight is a good solution. TheHamburger
Sparky, Try getting into the habbit of breathing throught your nose when you are trying to get to sleep. If you fall asleep breathing through your nose it should continue all night. This will stop you snoring and in my experience you will have a longer uninterupted kip. Guest
Yep - I roar like a freight train too. The best therapy I've had so far is the aversion therapy supplied by my regular g/f - a sharp elbow in my ribs! The old 'save all' Bangrumrad Hospital pops up again as I believe they have a sleep dosorder program on offer. uuuuuuNNNNNNNNNCCHHHH shshshshshsh uuuUUUUNNNCCCCCH shshshshshsh aieeeeee! you sing a song all night! think_too_mut
In Sydney, in a "Health Food Shop" that also carries a variety of herbal medicine pills, I spotted one plastic container with "A natural way to prevent snorring" on the label. think_too_mut
Found it - the product is called "Snore Eze", by Brauer Natural Medicine. Comes as in a little spray bottle. In Oz, priced 18A$ (approx. 9US$). The manufacturer has a web site, see details at www.brauer.com.au The shop assistant told me I was the first man to buy it for months - it's wives who purchase it for their husbands. PhordPhan
There's another product, available via the Internet at www.snoremd.com I had a brief snoring problem a year or so ago. I'd sustained a slight back injury and had to sleep in a funny position for a few months. Mrs. PhordPhan got sick of it and purchased a bottle of these pills. She says they work wonders. The snoring stopped in a day or two. Don't need them now, but have them on hand, just in case. Of course, too much alcohol and you have every right to snore. Right?
