Full health check up in Bangkok

Guest

Recommended Posts

Guys,

would be interested in peoples prior experience of having a full health check up in Bangkok. Things of particular interest are:

Time taken to complete all tests

Time to deliver results

Cost of Full Check Up

Any issues(complications) with the check up

Thanks

Sanukboot.

I know that Bumrungrad Hosp on Soi 1(?) offers several different levels of checkup and price is dirt cheap compared to US prices. They have a brochure with details and might have something on their website available.

I think Phaya Thai hosp. has a similar package available.

SanukBoot - I had a very basic pre-operation check up at Bumrungrad recently. My operation was the next day so I imagine the lab tests were done quicker than for a routine check. The test included:

Basic blood test (ouch that needle was big!)

Chest X-ray

General check – feel your bits, listen to your chest with a stethoscope

Blood Pressure

Heart ECG

Height/Weight etc

This was only a basic test. It took about 90 minutes but this included walking to all the different departments (you won’t get lost, you follow your guide).

The cost was just under B4000.

I hope this gives a rough idea.

JCK--

I was due for my full physical (must meet FAA guidelines) and Bumrungrad hospital is the perfect place to do it..

Tests (advanced bloodwork, complete physical exam, treadmill and xrays) took about 4 to 4 1/2 hours... Had to "fast" the night before.

Test results were done in three days (I got the initial report the next morning) but the blood sugar (glucose) testing took an extra day to complete...

Cost -- B4,400 for everything.. including lunch after all the tests were done and an escort to the taxi cue by a CUTE young thai nurse! laugh.gif" border="0
