I was at the Montri (just northwest across from Tha Pae Gate) only last month and there seemed to be plenty of 'guests' coming and going. Mind you, I don't know if these guests were booked in with their partners or were 'new' friends! Great price no thrills hotel around 600 baht per night. pattaya127 Posted October 30, 2005 Report Share Posted October 30, 2005 I got my quotes (pretty similar) from: www.chiangmairooms.com There was 2 other hotels I thought quite interesting there, Tamaring village inside the moat, and the imperial mae Ping (hard to miss, takes half a block), not much more than Suriwong, but with a beer garden (not Suk style though), and pretty close to the Bazaar.
