Central Scrutinizer
Keith doug, Buy a bottle of your favorite "duty free" on the plane, then drink and read the book once in the hotel. Lots of places do close for the King's Birthday. Maybe call ahead as well and reserve a GF du jour for the evening? :: Cent
Central Scrutinizer
Keith, You got me to reading my Thai calendar. :: I also notice that day 10 Dec. is Constitution Day. A Saturday. I wonder how that affects the weekend? :: :: Cent
Nervous_Dog
Keith, given the amount of money the thermae has attracted to Thailand I suggest we petition the king to allow the place to stay open - just for yoU!
eyebee
Hi Cent, The bars were all open (in Pattaya anyway) on Constitution Day last year, so no probs I guess.
Central Scrutinizer
Eyebee, Thanks. Good to know. I couldn't remember if it was a big holiday or not. How's things? Coming to BKK soon? See you next I am in Pattaya. Was fun last time. What's this I saw here recently in one thread that Peppermint girls are making so much baht off those damned ping pong balls that they don't need to get fined that often? Any basis in truth to that one? Just curious. If anyone would know it would be you! Cent
-.-.-
You will still be OK in restaurants and hotels. If you decide to miss that a lot of hotels have a Gideons Bible which you can read, with a cup of hot cocoa, while mentally fortifying yourself for the sextravaganza of Dec 6th. StaggerLee
rather difficult to close the Nana Hotel parking lot, so there will be freelancers in that area. Soi 7/1 may have a bar or two open, and some of the rather famous oil massage places tend to be open regardless of holidays.
