Dali
The Marina hotel in Karon has a couple of very good restaurants with much nicer atmosphere than you will find in Patong. 'On the Rocks' is on a hill overlooking the beach and features seafood. But be sure to make reservations ahead to secure the best view table. 'Salathai' is a teak restaurant in a garden setting with a wide menu variety featuring Thai & seafood. The Salathai also has live traditional Thai music or dance most evenings. Even though I prefer to stay elsewhere, I go back to the Marina just to eat here. A nice place to take a date too (even the walk from the road to the restaurants is romantic). And you can play a round of 'Dino' mini-golf afterward next door!

chuck6660
Ban Rim Pa in Patong is my favorite, poised atop a rock cliff it gives you the sensation of eating in a tree house. pretty waitresses, good food, thai music in the background, candle lit, wine and cigar bar...great place for a date. I also enjoy eating outside the Cove...nice Philippino band and great service. 3 weeks and back to my tilac!!
