Stayed at City Lodge on Soi 9 a couple of years ago for 1400B. The room certainly wasn't nice enough to command 2000B, although the location is convienient. But, when I stayed there with my legal falang wife of many years recently, she was a bit offended by a display of ads and offerings for sale in the bathroom: A box of condoms, displayed immediately next to the sign advertising their in-house massage service. I think there was another item as well, not sure if it was a bottle of mouthwash, a tube of KY or something similar. Just the proximity suggested their 'upfront no GF notice' was a trifle hypocritical. Anyway, "You can get anything you want in Alice's restaurant" WTF is Alice?
