Guest Posted February 17, 2002 Report Share Posted February 17, 2002 FastFred, your post reminds me of a story in the Phuket newspaper where the help of a girlfriend almost worked out dramatic; "A 50 year-old Finn who was arrested on Wednesday evening for gambling and then left to sleep off the nights' alcoholconsumption in the Patong Police Station lock up probably thought life could not get much worse. But it did.After the man was put in the cell, his girlfriend brought him some water,some food and some mosquito repellant to keep the insects at bay. Early this morning Police said that he wake up and ate the repellant by mistake. It was not long before officers realized something was wrong and rushed him to Patong Hospital, where doctors managed to save his life.
