elef
# 1 and 2 are 100 % clear, but not # 3, study the text why not write "8 times 7" IMO times can be time in plural and then 7 is not a number...
lembeh
six plus "two times 7" (20) maybe? Agree. We only have the second hand wording, which might inadvertently add an ambiguity... -j-
elef
and # 4 if you look at a clock like Big Ben there're no numbers just letters some clocks have 1 - 12, some 12, some 3, 6, 9, 12 btw # 3 can be
elef
Sayjann, if you tell us the correct answer we can find out together how it was calculated. Else this question reminds me of an old swedish joke: The school-inspector asked the class: If this room is 7 x 10 metres, from our city to Stockholm is it 800 km and the temperature is - 10, how old am I then? One boy answered: 48 The school-inspector had to admit it was correct but had to ask the boy: How did you calculate that? Now is my question to you - how did he do it? ::

sayjann
as i said the clock question has it's variables. but i would assume that they are thinking of a clock which has a simple face with #'s on. i would have thought that it wouldn't be complicated as the sort of People ringing in don't seem to be the brightest sparks, after all i was tuning in............. but elef has got nearest so far.......... a clue for you and i'm sure the answer will appear quickly as there are only a few possibilities. give your answer and how you got it. the clue is...........a # between 100 and 110 (inclusive).
