elef
sayjann are use sure they said a baker's dozen and not one baker's dozen because if it's "one" pe7e has presented the correct answer.
elef
I've found one more solution 1. 12 2. 12 (the real dozen) 3. 83 (6 + 77) 4. 0 (Big Ben) Total

sayjann
once again too techinal IMO......... the sort of People watching these shows are 19 y.o. Girls with 4 Kids who never finished school and can't even spell their own name........... they couldn't think of some of the way-out theories put forward here. and it WAS a bakers dozen
elef
no, this is a simple solution 1. all understand that 2. a dozen is 12 for all so must be if for bakers too even if there's an expression saying something else 3. 6 + 7 7 (2 times 7) 4. check Big Ben, it's the most well-known clock in th UK and zero numbers the really tricky one was #2 so according to Occam's razor this is the ONE solution
sayjann
OK,i'll ask the questions at work today and see what People come up with. i will 'ask' and 'write' the questions as they were on the TV. i know a dozen is 12 but i guarantee that 99% of People will give the answer as 13. forget Big Ben.........it's not the clock-face BTW,but the bell which is struck....... i walked around my house just now and looked at some of the clocks and most had #'s from 1-12 and that is what People will think off straight away. 1-12 = 12 OR 15...........but is 0 a #?
