Its on the basement level of Orchard Towers. Be wary where you stay. I was staying in Geyland Rd at the Tristar Inn ($S77.00) and girls are wary about staying overnight near Geyland Rd because of Police checkpoints. In the end she came to the hotel and stayed overnight after she checked on her cellphone that The Tristar was a reputable and guest friendly hotel.You are better off staying on or near Orchard Road somewhere. Decent sex but nothing more even if the girl was cute. Morning after she asked me 200 Singapore Dollars but I gave her 150 and she left without any complaint. I suspect the real reason that the girls don't want to go to Geylang is that they know if you are staying in a cheap hotel you are also expecting a cheap date. The girls in Geylang are mindfull of the police also but they are not afraid to sit for hours at an outdoor cafe whith their Johns. Someone mentioned $30-50 for Geylang, I go to Singapore and here is what I know about the prices: For about a year and a half the HC owners have decided that they will charge white people $80 for a soapy with a Thai girl. A little longer ago I was still paying $40. The locals still pay $40. On the street the girls are asking $30-90 (inclusive of hotel) for short-time and $120+ for overnight booking. I usually go to Geylang Lorong 12 and chat up the Indonesian girls. I pay from $100-150 for overnight booking. I usually take them up the road for a drink and a bite to eat, you can be reasonably certain that if you spend an hour or two hanging out with them that they will be your loving companion when you get back to the room. The Indonesian girls typically work for a week in Singapore if they are coming from Batam, girls coming from Jakarta can usually stay longer. I much prefer they atmosphere in Geylang to that of Orchard Towers. At OT I feel like I am surronded by salesmen and other business travelers. Fiery Jack Posted February 15, 2002 Report Share Posted February 15, 2002 Everyone's correct: Orchard Towers has about as much atmosphere as the lunar surface and is full of drunk expats and business travellers (that's me on the right), but the birds are good looking and friendly and there's lots of bars to choose from. A good tip is to remember that prices go down as the evening wears on (for ST or LT), so if you hang about near the escalator at chucking out time you can get some real bargains cos it's either you or they go home alone and dollarless. I got a two for the price of one deal last time: two Thais, one in her 30s but sexy and her pal who was just off the boat, young and gorgeous. They stayed all night and we got up to all sorts of acrobatics. S$200 (100 each) in the morning and no complaints on the way out of the door. Another bullseye: Geylang is for the desperate or twisted only. I've seen better looking boilers down the Seven Sisters in London, and that's saying something. Went to Ipanema Bar, first floor (go up the escalators one level, on the right). Lots of TGs, some Russians. Went with TG short time (had a very early flight) for $150. The bar on the first floor the dance club is the place to be even on a sunday afternoon. Went to Geylang but felt nervous there. Was late at night and was unsure of requirments for action. adikgede Posted April 4, 2002 Report Share Posted April 4, 2002 I was just in Singapore last weekend and after reading what people have said here, I figured I would give Orchard a try again. I went there on three consecutive nights and certainly there were a few attractive women there, but mostly old pros who can put on make-up and dress better than the girls in Geylang. I saw quite a few women who would have been attractive ten years ago before they grew saddle bags and hardened attitudes. I ended up booking (LT) girls from Geylang each night, each of them would have been in the top ten percentile for looks at Orchard if they knew how to put on make-up or spent more for clothes. On any given night in Geylang there are less than a handfull of girls that you would want to go out with the rest are not very attaractive. All of the girls are on very short stay visas (3-7days) and none could speak english that I could notice. As far as it being unsafe nothing could be farther from the truth, allthough white people might feel that they are one in a thousand, which is true. I have always found the Indoenesian girls in Geylang to be quite chummy, and believe me most of them would be happy to have a costumer who spent more than ten minutes doing thier business and smiled on occasion. I had two afternoon dates that didn´t cost a penny, if you exclude lunch and a few laps around Golden City [sic] (a middle class mall).
