trotsky2
Hi, The Patumwan House has been recommended to me as a quality $1000 baht a night place. Anyone had experience with this place? Is it lady friendly? I am told so but want to double check before reserving anything. As to my other post about Chiang Mai--I did some more invesitgation and see that some of these places have a website with prices listed--my bad for being lazy--nonetheless most seem beyond what I want to pay--looking for 800-1000 for a nice lady friendly room Thanks
drogon
From some relations I got this info: If we are talking about the serviced apartment in BKK right? The reviews are not bad (do not expect great luxury for this price though) This is girl friendly for sure. One stayed there 2 weeks ago It is close to the national stadium BTS. Daily price is around 1100-1300 bht/night but you have good deals for one month stay. Around 18-19k/month depending if u include maid service or not. Nobody has given a bad review till now. The main drawback is that it is quite far from nightlife places. Though in this price range I would recommend swiss park hotel on sukhumvit soi 11. I see that on the board sponsor's website (thaihoteldiscounts.com) the double room is at 1166 bht/night. This hotel is very good for its price range (I visited it as a friend made a party in his room -> not a threesome or foursome) Clean, comfortable, good service) So if you look in the 1000-1200 price tag then go for this hotel. Hope it helps

drogon
About swiss park it is to me the best value with town lodge on Sukhumvit Soi 18 in this price range. (1000-1200 bht/night) Now, for mongering duties only both are girl friendly. Those 2 are far better than mannhatan. Another one would be majestic suites Sukhumvit Soi 4 just next to landmark and very close to NEP. But I still think that the 2 first ones are better deals. (rooms at majestic suites are too small and they probably did not change since my first trips) (click on the board sponsor link it offer very good rates for thee 2 hotels and I always got the best support from Tim the owner) Hope it helped you
exileexpat
Patumwan house- I lived there for a long time back a few years back. Best location in teh city as far as I am concerned. Lots of food choices. Rooms are clean. Inside rooms are the pits. Outside rooms are much better with natural light. Laundy is reasonably prices and so is the restaurant.
