"Can Do" - The bar scene reinvented as a fair place to work

Un-fortunatly, my gf and her sister had a dissappointing experience with Empower/Bangkok, based in Silom.

They signed up for a free English language program and attended classes weekly for about 5 or 6 weeks. They finally gave up in frustration because the Thai male English teacher showed up drunk for every class and only wanted to talk about sex.

They did attempt to explain the situation with a higher authority in the office but were rebuffed with a "What do you expect for free." attitude.

It was sad because they and the other students invested their time and more importantly, hope and enthusiasm. I felt that the organization's ignoring the problem was very disrespectful to their clients.

This was more than a year ago. I hope some of the success of the Chang Mai branch has rubbed off on the Bangkok branch, it is an idea I'd love to support.
