Guest
Pablo, Also see my thread entitled, "Restaurant tips in NEP area, pretty please" from Jun 21, 2001. Let me add that the food court on top of MBK shopping mall is a favorite. And, if you are visiting BKK for more than a week, MBK mall is a must, regardless of whether you eat there. It is a trip to see so many young Thai babes (7,000?) packed in to such a small area. I've never heard of the food court on Soi 2 at Ploenchit Center, as suggested by Old Hippie, I believe. But, I'm interested in checking it out!
Guest
Khao soi is a Burmese import, but it's found a lot in the North, because it came across from Burma up there, I believe. The khao soi in Mae Hong Son (majority ethnic Shan, the only Thai province with Thais in the minority) is better than in Chiang Mai.
Guest
Thanks for the clarification. You're never too old to long something, only too drunk...
