samak
very interesting post! had my first exposure to Thai Talok around 10 years ago in a Cafe on Thonburi side. as i like comedy in general, i have been following up the scene a bit since then and sorry to say, but [color:red]- the most popular faces are still the same - there is a lot of joke recycling[/color] but hope you have fun as a Khun Talok Farang and you don't need to do this for a living! waerth
Khun Samak you are right on your 2 points. Once a group hasjokes the audience likes they usually keep on playing the same jokes for the rest of their carreers. There are a few groups now who try to break with that mold. Unfortunately my own boss is of the old school. It is very difficult to get him to change our jokes. I actually just tried tonight and he and the manager said in choir. You are a farang, you do not know anything we play comedy for 20 years, people like the same jokes. Unnecassary to say I am a bit pissed of now.
