elef
Mac, the temple is fixing the visa, so he doesn't have to go to immigration. Actually I think he has more than an 1 year visa, either it was several years or permanent - as long as he is connected to the temple at least and that the abbot decides not immigration. Showtime36
A company is required to hire a certain number of Thais for every foreigner. That's the catch. Most companies would like to hire more foreigners than they already have, but are stopped by this requirement. This is simply not true. We have formed thousands of companies and many do not have any Thai employees with a number of foreigners having a work permit. In fact a Thai company can hire up to 10 foreigners with zero Thai employees. Look at the work permit act in Nov 2004. By the way, the only requirements for working for a natural person is the employer paid 50,000 Baht tax last year, had 700,000 in gross earnings or employed 4 Thai employees. If married to a Thai than it can half that criteria ( 25K tax paid by the employer or 350K in gross income or 2 Thai employees) A number of people get the requirements of an extension of stay based on business mixed up with the work permit requirements. The only requirement for working with a Thai company is a non immigrant visa or permanent residence and 2 million Baht registered capital (one million Baht if married to a Thai)
