elef
It was in the newspapers a week ago or so, police stopped it has they didn't have all the necessary papers. But not Chatuchak, it was the extra market open all days beside.
Bangkoktraveler
Elef is right. When I read this first in the news, I thought it was Chatuchak. The week before this incident, Chatuchak had an electrical fire on Saturday. They closed that area off and put out the fire. The next day, Sunday I was walking by that area when a transformer popped and when I looked up, some of the wires were on fire. Once more the area was cornered off and the fire was put out. If you look at the wiring at Chatuchak, it is ony a matter of time when something is going to happen there unless something is done ahead of time. elef
Actually The Nation reported the incident taking place on Chatuchak, I found the article (Look for Headlines and change the date to "09".), but Bangkok Post had a correct place the same day but they ask for money for accessing articles older than one week, so if someone wants to check...
