For this trip, I'm paying $774 including all taxes from San Francisco. So, I don't think it should cost you more than $1100 to total. Instead of orbitz or travelocity, try Kayak or Sidestep. These are not online travel sites but rather meta-search sites that search all of the sites like orbitz in addition to the airline direct flights.
