Orangutan
Over the last few months I've been looking at different options to bake, broil and roast various foods that I like to eat. I looked at convention ovens ranging in price from 8000-25,000 baht. They were on the small size, and the top end lines required them to be built-in. After doing some digging around I found the Sanyo Gas Range GR-992. It has both bottom and top burners, an on the door thermometer, and simple set up. I paid 6,300 baht from an independent appliance shop Phra Khanong. This included delivery. Lat night I roasted a leg of lamb, making several slits stuffed with garlic, fresh rosemary, oregano, sea salt, and pepper. It was delicious! For anyone living in LOS wanting to do some home cooking I highly recommend the Sanyo Range. The shop is called Lee United Electronic Co.; it is located on the opposite side of the Phra Khanong Post Office. PM me for phone number, and the owners name. -Orang

Julian2
When I lived in Oz I never roasted anything in the house, used a Weber BBQ kettle for about twenty years. Wouldn't mind picking one up here if they were available.
waerth
Your appartment building allows you to have gas in your appartment? In my appartment this is forbidden. Waerth
Orangutan
The gas tanks in my apartment are located on back porch, just off the kitchen. I've also seen Weber's at the big department stores in Bangkok. -Orang
