Alfmaz
Some advice please I never take my Laptop Overseas, when a Motel offers free WiFi ?, in Sydney I can go to a Hot spot and connect at a large fee, so when I go to a Motel offering free WiFi that means I can connect to their server and surf for free, I donâ??t have to have my own connection. I can upgrade computers and connect wireless connection but never understood WiFi
manaomaiminam
It means you can connect free through their router/switch to their provider (not their server). Also, if you use free hotel service, make sure you have a firewall, especially if you have set up any of your system for sharing (say in an at-home network), I have run into many "curious" people in hotels providing free service. Stickman
There are heaps of wi-fi hot spots all over Bangkok, particularly in the areas where farangs hang out. You can find a list of a number of spots here: www.stickmanbangkok.com/wifi.htm
