lembeh
>I think it was a couple of months ago that I read that some cases of autism indeed were related to the age of the Dad, I think. Possibly I even read on here, Thai360. hey limbo. Ask me again in 6 months and you may well get a different answer - LOL. lembeh
HI limbo went back and searched, and the thread was here: http://www.thai360.com/fbb/showtopic.php?tid/515196/post/527194/hl/autism/#527194 Looking back I see that was based on a study that showed there was a link between age of father and autism....the more recent study shows no link. There you go - the wonderful world of science. the two studies can proably be reconsiled by looking through the *exact* methodology and study design. Some thing I will leave for another day (haha). Overall, as said, *my* take on it would be, autism is a pretty mixed bag of conditions. A lot of things *might* make a child more likely to have it. But frankly nobody really knows. -j-
