Thirteen of the 15 patients in a stem-cell study went off insulin for at least six months,

All of the patients had Type 1 diabetes,

which normally requires close blood-glucose monitoring and long-term use of insulin injections.

published Wednesday in the Journal of the American Medical Association.

I wonder if the treatment is viable: Will evangelical's deny their children the treatment.

a bill is headed back to bush .. the only bill he vetoed in 6 years was regarding stem cell research.

Thailand is carving out a niche as a stem cell leader.

Thai parents are being offered the option of keeping umbilical stem cells for their new borns in event of later need.

BRILLIANT!

Cost 130,000 Thb, US $3,640, EU 2,965. AUD 4,965.

Thailand is playing it's medical tourism & 'stem cell hand' well.

medical tourism is not about rum dumb punters chasing womens 1/3 their age ..

at least not until the old guys get proper medications / inspiration.

cardiac stem cell work & the umbilical stem cell for parents + what doesn't make google / yahoo news..

google news has thailand medical news on it's 1st page seemingly daily

Thai coup's government policy of breaking corporate med patents is also something I support
