sui_lo
Know the appeal - most played DVD in my household... Kids and older women mainly. V few late teens, early twenties as I'm sure he's not cool. Prefer the special with Jintara et al as well, but at least can sing along with the kids when he does the English ones... (ok, can do the chorus for the one he does with Jintara and the 2 other lassies as well )

Barry
Does he actually write his own music? He seems to be famous for singing other people's songs.. I now have Oh La Naw in my brain (originally a Khmer song apparently..)
MooNoi
Don't know how "musical" he is, apart from singing. Was trying to remember the videos I've seen of his, and in all of them I can remember, he is only singing. But yeah, his singing is pleasant enough. (But the songs are a bit too "dotted white line" (middle of the road) for me). How many Thai stars can actually play an instrument and write their own music? Not many. This is why I love bands such as: Loso, Taxi, Clash, Endorphine (the chick singer is SO damn cute too!), Sip Lor etc. Maybe Bird can play "Chopstix" on the piano. He's definitely not a muso in the sense someone like Sek Loso or Art Carabao are.
Mentors
Roger that. Every time students talk about Bird, someone has to make jokes about his being bent. So much for the notion that Thais "accept" gays. p.s. He is actually 48. Didn't really start recording until he was 28, unlike most of the current crop of singers. agree, he's living with his mum outside Bangkok and he made some face lifting. Anyway, i like his music
