OK, a series of mistakes, but moving on...

I am using Windows Office 2007 (1st mistake, but OK)

I have a word doc all put together with tables in it. I click and select for the cells in the able to have the data in the cells centered, both vertically and horizontally...won't do it.

All the cells, the data is at the top of the cell.

I select one cell or all the cells, doesn't matter, the data is always at the top of the cell.

There are no spaces at the bottom of the cell, soooo, what's up?

Ideas???

With office 2007, unfortunately you don't have the clear and easy menu system....grrrrrr

I found the options for Tables, Style (they give you several dozen pre-defined styles), I have styles as "plain old table) with Vertical Alignment Center but even my crooked eye sees things not aligned Vertical Center.

Strange.....

I just tried it and it works. Select the cells you want formated, right click, cell alignment and the correct results happen. Not sure whether Guy Himmaparn is referring to an earlier version of Word as I cannot see a Format option to choose in Word 2007? However on the Home ribbon under Styles a similar result occurs to which GH mentions though the right click seems more direct.
