ChristianTroy
Sanook, tell the receptionist at the place you stay to call a car or taxi who knows Pattaya, tell him you pay 1200 baht including toll roads and tip otherwise you might be stuck in Pattaya when the driver doesn't know the way! They all know people who do these rides and I usually always hire private people with decent cars to drive me! What kind of accommodation you are looking for? I recommend one of the places at Soi 13, it is silent, not too pricey and close to everything!
simie
Elef, when you get to the bus station at Pattaya there are baht buses waiting and when they are full they take you to the end of the soi your hotel is in for a fixed fee, 20 baht when i did it last. Ok if you only have a small amount of luggage. Simie.
trooper
Last time I took a taxi from Sukhumvit to Pattaya a couple of years ago I paid 900 baht. I don't recall any toll fees, maybe we took another route, it was about 2 hours anyway.
YimSiam
I never have a problem persuading a taxi to take me down to Pattaya, it's persuading myself to leave that's the trouble! YimSiam
