Feast your eyes on some of these beauties. I think some of these girls are really nice. I would say generally this is the look and style I go for, although I m not sure I m their style :(

The innocent, very clean looking, fresh, sultry look with nice clothes...

However Poo priya is my favourite looking of them all. Just something about her.

And lastly, do you think its possible to socialise with these type of girls or meet them in Bangkok. Or do you have to belong to the upper echeleons of high society?

Interesting post, JS.

My favourite would be Tai Oratai. She's got that lovely, fresh innocent look. :hubba:

I'll wait til all the old fogies on the board start on about their Jintara Poonlarb fetish (trust me - it'll happen... give it time!) Jintara's a bit long-in-the-tooth now in her late thirties, but I guess the older blokes still have a hard spot for her. :smirk:

It's interesting to me that luuk thung / mor lum stars are heroes to the people of Issan, and the majority of the songs are in Isaan/Lao, yet very few of these stars have traditional Issan features of dark skin, flat noses etc. I guess they give the less wealthy demographic something to look up to and aspire to.

As for meeting these girls, and even dating them... hmmm... :hmmm: Difficult.

As anywhere, stars attract stars, and fame attracts fame. The chances of them going out with a mere "commoner" are slim. Probably even less slim if you're a farang. Being Thai music stars, their contact with farangs is probably somewhat limited as it's not their fan base and market. Same with Thai soap and movie stars etc.

It would definitely help to speak Thai though and live here, obviously.

Go out to Thong Lor, RCA, Rachada or even Khao San at night and you'll see a few stars floating around. Also at Q Bar and Bed Supperclub. Usually they're totally full of their own self-importance. And also remember that most Thai stars are washed-up and ancient history by the time they turn about 20 or 21 years of age.

Having said that, I have had a couple of brushes with Thai fame.

The first was when I went out with a couple of uni girls from Thammasat to RCA one night, and a few of their other friends turned-up. One of them was Voon Sen She was pretty cool and interesting to talk to. Like a whiskey coke naam kaeng or 16 as well! :)

The other time I was at Emporium having a coffee and Thai TV presenter Galamae came and sat down at the next table. I was sure it was her, anyway. She's one of the presenters of "Pooying Tung Pooying" ("Woman to Woman") on Thai channel 3 in the morning. I plucked up courage and asked if she was who I thought she was. It turned out she was and she was amazed that a farang recognised her. Her English is flawless - she went to uni in the USA - and she invited me over to have a coffee with her which was sweet. We chatted for about 20 minutes and she even paid for the coffee!! %3

And remember... if you *do* go out with some hi-so Thai girls or stars you have *never* been to Nana Plaza, Patpong or Soi Cowboy. (Correct answer: "Soi Arai Na? Mai roo jaak!") And you absolutely *hate* Pattaya. That's for sex tourists... not good boys like you!
