qxguy
Greetings- I will be in Phuket for the Vegetarian Festival in October. I am looking for an 3-5000B hotel that is within walking distance of Soi Bangla. And of course, girl friendly. Any expert advice? Anyone know of a driver, guide to use while I am there? Thanks
sayjann
Vegatarian Festival..........not for me..... seeing people stick bits of metal through their skin is not for me. photos are bad enough,i would not want to see it in the flesh.... most Hotels are within walking distance from Bangla. but if you are willing to pay that much then why not go for one that is not guest friendly?. only a little more each night. personally i have never paid more than 900 a Night as i don't spend that much time in my room, only to 'entertain' BG's during the night. but here is one website which might help, many more if you do a search........ http://www.phuket-hotels.com/patong-beach/index.html
samak
october is low season; so for your price range you get into the best hotels, but they are not guest friendly!
qxguy
With a little more research........it appears the events of the festival mainly take place in Phuket Town. Or are there also events in the Patong area? What is the drive time between the two areas? Thanks in advance.
samak
forget about any festival events in the tourist areas like Patong! drive time from Patong to Phuket Town is around 30 minutes
Encore
Now maybe this vegetarian festival is a good opportunity to pick up a companion. Topcatta told us vegetarians smell better, and they taste better. This would be a great chance to confirm that. OP could you please let us know how you get on? vinod
I agree with u.. this not GF friendly. I always go to Phuket with GF from BKK, the firt time I went when we checked in togather even she got a card but it was pain in ass evey night with the secuirty... when we enter from the side.. pool side, we would stopped. From the next trips I would have the room in her name. I dont't think it GF friendly as recent as 3 months back..... if ur looking for party everyday, there many hotel without hassles.... cheers
