cavanami Posted August 27, 2007 Author Report Share Posted August 27, 2007 The US 100 dollar note has changed repeatedly. Trying to keep ahead of the conterfeiters. I was advised years ago not to take/bring any of the older 100 dollar paper money as those are the ones being pumped out by the Iranians who have sold some of the printing machinery to the N. Koreans. It was pre-Isamic Revolution that the US sold to Iran the exact same printing machinery as used in US. It is those machines that are still cranking out forged US notes. The Iranians and N. Koreans just love to print all this up. The US has never and probably will never recall any notes from general public. But all notes returned or that pass thru the Federal Reserve of the older type are destroyed. The bottom line is that if you are buying US 100 dollar bills, always ask for the new ones. These are new bills! soooo, WTF??? I later went to Kasikorn Bank and they took all the bills with the DB serial numbers, no problem. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
