Greenpeace's protest against the lifting of a ban on open-field trials of genetically-modified (GM) papaya yesterday was met with an unexpected reaction from a crowd of onlookers. The smoke got everyone in the area higher than a kite, including the police! Next time they did a burn, they did it far away from everyone and made sure the cops wore gas masks.
