TheCorinthian Posted August 31, 2007 Report Share Posted August 31, 2007 I suppose homicide is the killing of a person by any means, criminal or otherwise. In the US it depends on the state. I know that for Ga and NC whenever there is a death by other than old age or a know pathogin, the cops come out with everyone else to try to figure out what happened. So basically if you just look at a homicide rate, you are getting everyone that died due to the actions of someone else. If you want a real sticker, look at death and crime where a knife was the weapon of choice. WAY more of that then guns by more than 2 to 1. Yet no call to ban knives.
