Germany 2--Japan 0 didn't see the Game but seems it was a stroll as Germany top the table. their scary Striker,Prinz made history by becoming the all-time top scorer in the Women's WC. England 6--Argentina 1 England needed to win by 2 clear Goals to progress to the Quarter Finals and within 10 Mins they had their 2 Goals. England were out of the blocks quickly and could have had a couple of Goals before an OG put them one ahead. within 2 Minutes it was 2 and England were strolling. they also hit the bar before the H/T whistle. Argentina conceded a 3rd after one of their Players gave away a Penalty and was sent off. a shame as Catalina Perez was quite cute. Argentina pulled one back with a terrific Free-Kick but England just kept attacking and could have had far more than the 3 they added in the last 30 Minutes. Nigeria 0--USA 1 the US scored in the 1st Minute and then just shut up shop. one of the most boring Games i have ever seen. Australia 2--Canada 2 exciting,both Teams playing for a Q/F spot. 1-1 and Australia are through but 5 Minutes from time the Canadians score and they are through. but 2 Minutes into added time the Aussies equalise and they are through........... and a couple of good Goals in this Game. Norway 7--Ghana 2 a stroll for the Norsewomen as they easily beat the Africans. 3-0 up at H/T and quickly went 7-0 up. but Ghana didn't give up and scored a couple of Goals to make the scoreline a little more respectable. Brazil 1-0 Denmark a 91st Minute Goal maintains Brazil's record. 3 wins,10 Goals scored and 0 conceded. 1st Q/F's on Saturday. sayjann Posted September 22, 2007 Author Report Share Posted September 22, 2007 Germany 3--North Korea 0 Germany prove superior but the Game was not as easy as the scoreline suggests. took them over 40 Minutes to score and then in the 2nd half the Koreans raised their Game and could have easily gone ahead. but bad finishing and good Goalkeeping kept them out. a Minute after a stupendous save by the German Keeper the Germans were 2-0 ahead and added the 3rd within 5 Minutes. but the Koreans never gave up and kept trying to score,but to no avail. don't like the German's way of playing and hope they don't win the bloody thing. USA 3--England 0 very proud of the English lasses. they weren't expected to reach the QF's and then had to play the Team ranked number 1 in the World. England hadn't beaten the US since 1988 and it looked a hopeless task. spirited 1st half spoilt by the American Captain deliberately elbowing the England Captain in the face. she went down like a sack of shit and looks like her nose was broken......2 things i hate in Football are spitting in someone's face and deliberate use of the elbow. no real chances for either Team but the beginning of the 2nd half was a disaster for the English. 3 Goals conceded in 12 Minutes and the Game was over as a spectacle. but the English never gave up and were the better Team at the end and kept trying to score. if Brazil beat the Aussies then they will play the USA in the Semi's and i hope they kick their butts.
