Unit 731 said 'Something about a 30 year lease and a 'dummy' corporation.'

 

A Farang can legally have a 30 year lease without setting up an illegal dummy company.

 

WorldFun, I hope you have the necessaey paperwork in order to be able to tranfer your money out of the country????

Thanks guys for all the comments, very helpful. Particulary The Munchmaster's clarification of the company structure and Thai shareholders signing away their share holding being totally illegal and under focus of Thai government.

 

Seems property investment it Thailand could be doable if you live there and working on the "in and out in a couple of years" scenario. But not a go for someone who doesn't live there full time and looking for something long term.
