simie Posted December 22, 2007 Report Share Posted December 22, 2007 Stan, yes once quite a few years back I decided to have a last minute trip over christmas/new year as I had to take the time off anyway. All my usual mid priced haunts fully booked and since I had paid a small fortune for the flight I did'nt want to pay for an expensive hotel. I ended up in the Thai House Inn in the sub soi between Suk soi 5 and 7. Was 550B then I think 700 now? Basic, but clean, cheap and handy location for the BTS etc. Simie. There's still loads of hotels that don't have a web presence. The problem is that you're forced to do the legwork once you arrive, and you might end up in an area not very central to where you'd like to be.
