chuckwoww
Yes! It won't update. I thought it was just me. I think it's a good program but it doesn't catch all the crap. I'm not sure any of them catch 100%
ALHOLK
None of these programs detect all problems. On my previous laptop I had adaware, spybot, AVG and a firewall. I managed to get the trojans sdbot2 and banker (very bad). AVG managed to detect them but could not get rid of them. Furthermore spybot and adaware detected different problems. oldie5
Had a problem updating last week but did one Ok at the weekend and just done another one fine now after reading your post, so suggest you try again
MooNoi
I had the same problem as LazyPhil - every time I went tying to update the definitions I got a message saying "ERROR RETRIEVING UPDATE". So I downloaded and installed Ad-Aware 2007 and it seems to work fine now. However, I tried to remove the original Ad-Aware (SE) from my PC and I can't. When I open up CONTROL PANEL and then ADD or REMOVE PROGRAMS, the original Ad-Aware isn't anywhere to be found...
chuckwoww
Same here. But I found the old one in Program Files under Lavasoft. I'm going to try scissors.
chuckwoww
The scissors approach doesn't work. Don't try it. I'm starting to think the new download overwrites the old one. I've got a brand new icon too!
