Julian2 Posted March 25, 2008 Report Share Posted March 25, 2008 A small town success story, a 15 year old girl from my former home village broke the World 50 meters back stroke record at the Australian titles over the weekend. We lived about two doors from her granddad and I beat her father up on the way to school regularly. (He was younger than me). Now for the Olympics so I can bask in reflected glory. Good going for a 13 yo though' who else in the World beat him?. until anyone from outside Europe beats him he is the best in the World. but i do admit that after i posted i realised i had said World instead of European. couldn't be bothered to edit the post. but i knew someone would pick up on my mistake......ces't la vie.
