bak
We have applied to the Belgium Embassy in Bangkok for a settlement visa. All required documents have been submitted to the embassy. Could someone please tell me if they know how long it takes for the embassy to issue the visa?
drogon
Settlement? (sorry I am Belgian) Cohabitation or visa for your wife? If this is a "cohabitation visa" then it can take up to 2 months (depending if they accept your application without asking for further documents) but might as well take 1 month. If this is a visa for your wife to settle in Belgium, provided that you gave them all the documents they requested (and if they do not ask for further ones) then might take 3-4 weeks. Depending on the complexity of your background. (are you divorced, does she have kids etc...) If you have further questions it might be better to ask to the visa manager at the embassy, Mr. Dewaide. (his email can be found on the embassy website). Sorry not to be able to provide a more accurate timeline but it varies a lot from case to case.
