teddy
For the past few weeks here in Dubai we haven't seen the sun and the sky has been white. Fecking sands storms morning, noon and feckin night. The same is happening in Kuwait, here are some photos taken this morning (not by me).

Flashermac
I've been through sandstorms in the Arizona and Nex Mexico deserts. The sand can blast the paint right off a car. Never hope to see any more of the damned things. The Arabs can have them all.

Mentors
great imposing pics. About two weeks ago the wind bring sand dust from the Sahara to mid-europe. My car had a thin bed of sand - this thousands kilometers away form the desert.

Flashermac
Ever been down around Yuma? There are some real North African looking sand dunes around there, which is why Hollywood shot a lot of films down there. You can see the remains of the first "highway" across the dunes - made of thick wooden planks fastened together. Imagine driving across that! Gets so hot in that area that sometimes car windows will simlpy explode.
