State of Emergency Effect on Cowboy, ect?

Have they figured they are pricing themselves out of business yet?

The BGs seem to understand, but I am not sure about the bar owners. Lady drinks in one bar are now 175 Baht and the bar fine is higher while the 'tip' for a short time remains the same. Realizing that more expensive lady drinks and a higher bar fine is good for the bar but not for them, several BGs I know have moved from the more expensive Soi Cowboy bars to less expensive bars. This may help explain why some Nana bars are able to survive despite Soi Cowboy's more relaxed policies.

I'm a Bintang man now - Beer Laos was good to me up until the night I did my knee : the thought of climbing the four flights of stairs to retrieve my glasses from the rooftop bar in Vientiane still frightens me - have absolutely no memory of getting down or how we got back to the hotel. Just a surly BG telling me 'Drunk too mutt, talk too mutt !' - sympathy really is not that gals strong suit ...
