wonderlust
I have a KBank account with internet banking but they don't offer the facility to do online SWIFT transfers. I see from their website that SCB offers this facility and I wonder if anyone's used it or can offer a recommendation of another bank that does the same. TroyinEwa/Perv
Sorry I am being a bit lazy but do a boolean search with the word swift in the subject line for all dates and it will bring up a couple long threads on this subject. Didn't see how old they were but it may get you started.
Pom Michael
Wonderlust - in or out of Thailand? SCB is very easy to do online for sending out.
wonderlust
Yes I'm in Thailand and want to send money out of Thailand. It sounds like SCB would be the best option. Do you know what their fee is for SWIFT transfers?
Flashermac
Is there a limit on the amount you can transfer out? Anyone found away to get large amounts back out of Thailand after they've been here for some years?
wonderlust
FFS it would have been nice if you'd pointed out you have to make an application to do a SWIFT transfer which involves them sending you a document to sign and that it has to be for Education or Family Support. That's another 300 baht I've fed to a Thai bank.
Pom Michael
Ok, but family support means basically anything. Also paying overseas (foreign) credit cards is a good reason too. Never a problem to send out any amount.
wonderlust
OK I could put family support but what do I enclose as evidence for payment? "With the signed document, please enclose evidence for payment (i.e., passport, letter from educational institution, as required by the Bank of Thailand)"

wonderlust
You can say that again. I'm still not sure what evidence I would enclose. Also there's no option for paying overseas credit cards. We are talking about the same bank aren't we? Siam Commercial Bank.
