They contained very touching poetry (so I'm told) meant to convince the communists to quit fighting and live in peace. Hanoi also dropped leaflets for us to find - usually laughable attempts to make us homesick and eager to desert. p.s. The Vietnamese were very big on tangos, as I recall.
