Guest
I will be coming to LOS shortly. I have been there before but never during a holiday. What is the situation with the Bars, the a-Go-g0's, massage parlors, restaurants? Are they all closed on that evening?
Guest
In general, everything is open. Some ladies take the night off individually, to go "float a khratong" with their tilac. This is an upbeat holiday (sort of like Valentine's Day in the US), not one of the "dry" holidays. Cheers! B-Fly BKK

Sarisin
This year it could be interesting. As previously mentioned everything should be open. I'm not sure if it was mentioned that Loy Krathong will be celebrated on Wednesday October 31 - Halloween. Now, Halloween is not as commercialized here in the LOS as it is say in the US. However, there are some bars that have parties, costumed ladies, strolling Draculas, and so-forth. Well, on Loy Krathong often the ladies in the bars (not dancers) will wear traditional Thai clothes. Some look absolutely stunning. It will be interesting to see what mix is out there the 31st.
