Bangkoktraveler Posted December 27, 2008 Report Share Posted December 27, 2008 Special Branch police told Metropolitan Police Bureau to step up security at 10 risky locations in Bangkok on the night of New Year's eve. Special Branch police chief Suchart Muankaew, however, refused to reveal these locations. "We are afraid it would cause panic," he said. Pol Lt Gen Suchart said safety will be stepped up, especially at one of the biggest New Year celebrations in Bangkok, the Bangkok-Countdown 2009, to be held at Central World shopping complex.
