Peter, you might have a problem finding a teaching job being unqualified. However, check out www.ajarn.com and the AUA website and you might find something. The latter often hires inexperienced teachers (I think you still need a degree though). For a lot of great general info on teaching check out Stickman's site. As far as being a bar manager, these jobs are seldom advertised and more word-of-mouth. If you are in Bangkok (I think I saw that) just visit the bars and ask around.
