Guest Posted September 9, 2001 Report Share Posted September 9, 2001 Is it possible to study for the TEFL Diploma whilst in Thailand? If so with whom and how much does it cost? I have seen adverts for the Certificate course (which I have already) but none for the Diploma. I intend to take the course but would rather not return to England to do it if possible. ECC- cheap and again mixed reviews Text and Talk- would not go there I believe thailand is one of the cheapest places in the world to get it. ECC may do something but the RSA Diploma is not run nearly as frequently. I'd get in contact with ECC and see if they have any courses planned. TEFL International still just do a cert course. Guest Posted September 9, 2001 Report Share Posted September 9, 2001 I believe the better places like Austil, ELCA and the British Council offered a Dip CELTA to in-service teachers - they may be available to external candidates too - might be worth checking. Failing that, you can do both the Cert and the Dip CELTA online with Open Learning International.
