ThaiHome
Prayad makes a flying start Published: 13/03/2009 at 06:24 AM Prayad Marksaeng blitzed the Blue Monster at Doral for a 7-under-par 65 and a share of the lead at the World Golf Championship-CA tournament. Prayad started on the back and turned at 1-under 35. Six birdies and an inward 30 left him in a share of the 18-hole lead. The Thai had the blade working, taking a mere 24 putts after hitting 14 greens in regulation. His best finish in a PGA Tour event is a T-15 at the 2008 PGA Championship. A good showing in Doral will boost him into the Top 50 in the world, and give him an automatic place at next month's Masters tournament.
